A refrigerator door gasket creates a seal between the cold refrigeration environment and the external environment. When this part fails or begins to fail, the door may fail to close properly, fail to remain closed, or may sweat condensation and cause the accumulation of moisture or frost buildup inside the refrigerator. Includes embedded magnetic strips along the leading edge that help to hold the refrigerator door closed during operation. Safely store any food that could thaw or deteriorate while the refrigerator door is open during repair. Always take appropriate safety precautions when performing repairs.

TIPS ON INSTALLATION
May retain compact shape after unpackaging – If needed, lay flat in a warm area or use a safe heat source (such as a blow dryer, the sun, or a tub/pan of hot water) to help remove creases and improve malleability before/during installation
- Observe or photograph orientation and positioning of original gasket
- Organize new gasket and use a safe heat source (such as one suggested above) to remove all major creases and twists
- Loosen but avoid removing any retaining screws or clips (may vary by model), then remove original gasket
- Install new gasket based on previous observations or photographs
- Partially tighten retaining screws or clips, as needed
- Use a blow dryer to gently warm and adjust the gasket, beginning where a proper seal has already been achieved
- Repeat this process until the gasket and door form an airtight seal
- Fully tighten the retaining screws or clips (do not over-tighten)
HOW TO IMPROVE THE STRENGTH OF THE EMBEDDED MAGNETIC SEAL
- Rotate a stronger magnet (such as a small neodymium magnet) around its axis while slowly moving it over, along, and against the part of the gasket where the embedded magnetic strip is located
- Maintain consistent magnetic field polarity (north or south) between the magnet and the gasket at all times
- Repeat this process until the desired effect is achieved and the refrigerator door closes securely

I used this product for a stand up deep freezer. Working good however I mad mistake and brought 2 of the gasket and only needed 1 and can not return the one I didn’t use.
