Description
A gas appliance uses primary and secondary coils as a safety mechanism to control the flow of gas and prevent unsafe operation. If these parts fail or begin to fail the appliance may fail to get hot enough or fail to operate at all. Replaces “M” series coils. Product is universal and may differ from the original. It is strongly recommended that you replace both the primary and the secondary coils during the repair. Always take appropriate safety precautions when performing troubleshooting or repairs.

Solved the problem! Repairman wanted $300 to fix the problem, ordered this part from Amazon and it arrived the next day, it was easy to install and in less than 20 minutes the dryer worked like new, thank you Amazon!!!!

I have a GE gas dryer. One day it just didn’t get hot anymore. Research said it was the igniter or the coils. So if I’m going in that deep, I’m replacing both items. The igniter and the coils were cheap enough that I could use a shotgun rather than a sniper rifle. Anyway, mission successful. Warm dry clothes again.

On my dryer this repair literally takes 5 minutes and my dryer works perfectly now.

MY GE gas dryer stopped heating up. These were exactly what I needed. I took the front panel off the dryer and I could see that the coil was actually glowing when I turned it on. I replaced my coils with these and my dryer is as good as new! It was pretty easy to do this with a flashlight, Phillips head screwdriver, and some pliers to help unplug the old ones.*NOTE – Make sure you have something or someone holding up the front panel when you take it off. I did not and it fell over and pulled all the wires out of the door switch and my door switch came apart. It was a pain to put all that back together. Probably best to completely disconnect the door switch.
